Rotary Family Health Days (RFHD), the flagship initiative of Rotarians For Family Health & AIDS Prevention (RFHA), delivers free, comprehensive healthcare services to underprivileged communities across four African countries through an annual campaign. Led by Rotary clubs but supported by partnerships including The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation, the U.S. Mission, and local health ministries, the program has provided care to tens of thousands since its inception. Last year, clubs in Wynberg, Constantia, and Kromboom achieved some of the district’s strongest results, with organizers urging members to participate again in the upcoming event, scheduled for 4–6 October at Lavender High School. A focus on measuring and evaluating impact has been introduced to ensure the program’s long-term sustainability.
The initiative traces its roots to Marion Bunch of the Rotary Club of Dunwoody, Georgia, who founded RFHA in 1997 after losing her son to AIDS. Her work with AID Atlanta led to an ongoing student awareness program reaching
